Comparing and Contrasting Leaders & Bosses

I recently came across a picture I have seen once before and thought it brings up some good points/morals that we all could learn from.

This pretty much says it all.  The quintessential boss tells their subordinates what to do, when it is do, and maybe even how to do it; but they don’t do it with them, they don’t support their people, they just make it a stressful work environment, and end up with employees who hate them.  Remember we are ALL human; your poo doesn’t smell any better than anyone else’s.  No one is better just because they have a better job, or make more money.  Who you are is what you do, what you leave behind to the world; it is how you act to the people with the least amount of power; not whether or not you have the most.  Money does not make you a better person than someone else.

It is your personality, your willingness to help those less fortunate than you.  It is your drive to achieve something.

Learn new things; teach other people things that are important to you; do something you have always wanted to.  No one else can make your life better; you have to want to; and you have to physically do things to make it happen; make your own life better.

Today’s Society / Sartre’s “Bad Faith”

I saw this youtube video recently about Sartre;  It has a couple funny quips in it; but I really like the principles laid forth in the bit about “bad faith.”

It doesn’t matter what the rest of society says; what is important is what you feel about who you are and what you are doing with you’re life.  We all (including myself) can be spending our time more wisely ..  I find it important to help other people, to learn as much as I can about everything important to me, to teach those things to others.

All you have to do to achieve everything you’ve always wanted; is to start!  Make plans for it! Write out step-by-step what you need to do in order to achieve all that you have ever wanted, and become happy!

Here is a link to the video about Sartre that I was referring to:
